I’m all about self fulfilling prophecies. Might as well start off with one of my favorite painters.
Henri Matisse, Bonheur de Vivre, (1905-06).
“There is nothing more difficult for a truly creative painter than to paint a rose, because before he can do so he has first to forget all the roses that were ever painted.”
– Matisse
I love that quote!! It’s about starting fresh! xoxoxoo
matisse is one of my faves as well. and indeed the hardest part about being an artist is forgetting – truly inspirational art arises perhaps from the senses and less from the memory.
