At what point does an image become meaningless?

I saw two versions of the Campbell’s soup can just today.  Mr. Brainwash’s new show + this pic from Williamsburg.  What Warhol did was revolutionary, but after nearly fifty years (original was created in 1962) of people using the image and hardly making it their own… where’s the creativity?  What are you saying?

A couple Jeff Koons pieces I saw in LA.  This room in the gallery was full of Koons and Warhol paintings and sculptures.  I love the large pieces, but sometimes it feels like it’s simply too much.

"you are so quirky"

I saw this on Tavi’s blog The Style Rookie today and it made me smile.  Thank you Andy Warhol for making me think that my weird thoughts, drawings, dreams, outfits, nightmares, jokes, etc were somehow valid.
